M2TOOLKIT

Free Student Tools

Everything on M2Toolkit that helps with coursework, sorted by what you're actually doing — writing an essay, citing sources, checking a grade, or getting through a problem set.

None of them need an account. Calculators show the formula and the working, so you can check your own method instead of just copying an answer.

Grades & GPA

Find out where you stand before report cards do. The final grade calculator tells you the score you need on the exam; the test grade calculator turns “18 out of 30” into a percentage and letter grade.

Essays & writing

Hit the word count without padding. Plan how many words each section of an essay gets, check readability, and compare two drafts line by line.

Citations & research

Format references in the style your department asks for. Each generator names the edition it follows (APA 7, MLA 9, Chicago 17), so you can match it to your handbook.

Math & algebra

From fractions to derivatives. The solvers show each step, which is what most teachers want to see on the page.

Geometry

Missing sides, angles, areas and volumes, with the rule used for each answer.

Statistics

Descriptive stats for a lab report or the tests a stats module expects: z-scores, p-values, confidence intervals and regression.

Physics

Mechanics, energy and waves. Enter values in SI units or pick the unit next to each field.

Chemistry

Balance an equation, get a molar mass, then move on to moles, molarity and pH.

Electrical & engineering

Circuit basics for first-year labs plus a few mechanics checks for beams, stress and flow.

Biology

Genetics crosses and DNA strands, the two things biology homework asks for most.

Study planning & focus

Break a semester into weeks and an assignment into tasks, then use a timer to actually sit down and do them. Plans are saved in your browser only.

Presentations & diagrams

Rehearse a talk against the clock and draw the diagrams a report or project needs.

Student money

Make a term's budget last. See where money goes each month and what subscriptions really cost over a year.

Internships & first jobs

A one-page CV, a cover letter that matches the advert, and a simple portfolio to send with them.

Coding coursework

Format and validate data, test a regular expression, or turn notes into Markdown for a README.

Everyday helpers

Small things that come up in group work and halls: pick who presents, split into teams, convert units, count days to a deadline.

Study guides

Worked examples that go with these tools.

Student tools: common questions

Are these tools really free for students?

Yes. Every tool on this page is free to use with no sign-up and no limit on how many times you use it. The site is supported by ads, which are never placed inside a tool.

Is it cheating to use a calculator for homework?

That depends on your teacher's rules, so check them. The calculators here show the formula and each step, which makes them better for checking your own working than for skipping it.

Do the citation generators follow APA 7 and MLA 9?

Yes. The APA generator follows the 7th edition and the MLA generator the 9th. Your department may have its own variation, so compare one or two entries with your course handbook.

Is my work saved or uploaded anywhere?

No. Text, grades and plans stay in your browser. Planners and the notepad save to this browser's local storage so they're there next time on the same device; nothing is sent to our servers.
