How to use the CSV to JSON Converter
- Paste your CSV (or copy cells from Excel) into the left box, or open a file.
- Adjust the options if you need to.
- Copy the JSON or download it as a file.
What does this tool do?
The converter uses a full CSV parser, so quoted fields, commas inside quotes and line breaks inside cells are handled correctly. The delimiter (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe) is detected automatically.
With a header row, each line becomes an object keyed by column name. Numbers and true/false values can be converted to real JSON types instead of strings.
Why use it?
- Feed spreadsheet data into apps and APIs.
- Prepare fixtures and seed data.
- Paste straight from Excel or Google Sheets (tab-separated).
Example
name,age
Ada,36 becomes [{"name": "Ada", "age": 36}]Privacy
