How to use the Marks Percentage Calculator
- Choose one exam or several subjects.
- Enter marks obtained and total marks, or one subject per line as 78/100.
- Read your percentage (and per-subject results).
What does this tool do?
Percentage of marks = marks obtained ÷ total marks × 100. For several subjects, add all obtained marks and all total marks first, then divide — which correctly handles papers with different totals.
Why use it?
- Report card and board exam percentages.
- Handles subjects with different maximum marks.
- Per-subject breakdown.
Example
432 out of 500 is 432 ÷ 500 × 100 = 86.4%. For five subjects scoring 88, 76, 81, 92 and 70 out of 100 each, the total is 407/500 = 81.4%.
