How to compress Image to 100 KB

  1. Add your images; the target is set to 100 KB.
  2. The compressor keeps full resolution where it can and lowers JPEG quality just enough to fit.
  3. Download each file or a ZIP of all of them.

What does this tool do?

Many government portals, university applications and HR systems cap uploads at 100 KB. That leaves room for a crisp portrait up to about 800 × 1000 pixels, or a readable single-page scan in grayscale.

PNG screenshots and scans are often much bigger than they need to be; converting them to JPEG during compression typically cuts them by 80–90%. Your photos are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Why use it?

  • Preset to 100 KB.
  • Converts heavy PNGs to compact JPEGs.
  • Batch and ZIP download.
  • Free and private.

Frequently asked questions

Is 100 KB good quality for a photo?

Yes. A head-and-shoulders portrait at 600–800 px wide looks sharp at 60–100 KB as a JPEG — more than enough for any online form or ID upload.

How do I get a scanned document under 100 KB?

Scan or photograph the page, crop to the paper, and save as JPEG. For text, grayscale helps a lot. A typical A4 page at 1000–1200 px wide fits comfortably under 100 KB.

Can I compress many photos to 100 KB at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like; each is compressed separately and you can download them all as a ZIP.

Why is my PNG still over 100 KB?

PNG is lossless, so photos saved as PNG stay large however you resize them. Keep the output format as JPG — the same photo is usually 5–10 times smaller — or use WebP if the site accepts it.
