What does this tool do?
A quotation (or quote, or estimate) tells a potential customer what a job will cost before they commit. A clear quote with an expiry date and terms helps you win work and avoid disputes later.
Why use it?
- Look professional when bidding for work.
- Set a validity date so old prices don't come back to bite you.
- Turn it into an invoice later with the Invoice Generator.
Tips for quotes that win work
Break the work into clear line items so clients can see what they're paying for. State what's not included. Add a validity period (30 days is common) and your payment terms, such as a deposit before work starts.

Frequently asked questions
Are my client details saved anywhere?
No. Everything stays in your browser. If you tick “Remember my business details”, only your own business details are saved on this device so you don't have to retype them.
What's the difference between a quote and an estimate?
Traditionally a quote is a fixed price and an estimate is an approximate one. In everyday use the terms overlap — say clearly in your notes whether the price is fixed.
