AES-256-GCM · key from PBKDF2-SHA-256 (600,000 iterations)
Encryption happens entirely in your browser. There is no password recovery — if you forget the password, the text can’t be decrypted.

Everything you type is processed in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers or stored by us.

How to use the Text Encryption & Decryption

  1. Choose encrypt or decrypt.
  2. Enter the text and a strong password.
  3. Copy the result — share encrypted text and the password separately.

What does this tool do?

Your password is stretched into a 256-bit key with PBKDF2-SHA-256 and a random salt, then the text is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, which also detects any tampering.

The output is plain Base64 text you can paste into an email or chat. Only someone with the password can read it.

Why use it?

  • Strong, modern encryption.
  • Tamper detection.
  • Never leaves your browser.

Accuracy and limits

  • There's no password recovery. Use a long, unique password and share it through a different channel than the message.

Privacy

Everything you type is processed in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers or stored by us. There's no account to create and nothing to install.
