How to use the Markdown Table Generator

  1. Type into the grid, or paste rows from a spreadsheet or CSV.
  2. Click a column's alignment label to cycle left, centre and right.
  3. Copy the Markdown.

What does this tool do?

Markdown tables are fiddly to write by hand. The grid lets you add or remove rows and columns, transpose the table and paste straight from Excel or Sheets (tab-separated), CSV or an existing Markdown table. Pipes inside cells are escaped automatically.

Everything runs in your browser — nothing you paste is uploaded.
