How to use the JSON to CSV Converter
- Paste your JSON array into the left box, or open a file.
- Adjust the options if you need to.
- Copy the CSV or download it as a file.
What does this tool do?
Each object in the array becomes a row and each key becomes a column. Objects with different keys are merged, so no data is lost. Nested objects are flattened into dot-notation columns like address.city, and short lists are joined with semicolons.
Values containing commas, quotes or line breaks are quoted correctly, following the CSV standard (RFC 4180), so Excel and Google Sheets open the file cleanly.
Why use it?
- Analyse API data in a spreadsheet.
- Share data with non-technical colleagues.
- Choose comma, semicolon or tab delimiters.
Example
[{"name":"Ada","address":{"city":"London"}}] becomes:
name,address.city
Ada,LondonPrivacy

Frequently asked questions
Excel puts everything in one column. Why?
Some regional settings (common in Europe) expect semicolons. Choose the semicolon delimiter and download again.
