What does this tool do?
Indian passport applications made abroad, OCI cards and Indian visas use a square 2 × 2 inch (51 × 51 mm) colour photo with a plain white background, full face, eyes open and no headwear except for religious reasons. Inside India, the Passport Seva Kendra takes your photo at your appointment, so you don't need to bring one.
The Indian e-Visa asks for a square JPEG upload (typically between 350 and 1,000 pixels on a side, up to 1 MB). The single photo from this tool meets that shape — use the Image Resizer if a portal asks for a specific pixel size. Your photos are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a photo for an Indian passport application in India?
No — at the Passport Seva Kendra your photo is taken during the appointment. You need a 2×2 inch photo when applying through an embassy or VFS centre abroad, and for OCI and visa applications.
What size is the Indian e-Visa photo?
A square JPEG with a white background, typically between 350 and 1,000 pixels on each side and no larger than 1 MB. Download the single photo here, then use the Reduce Image Size tool if it's over the limit.
Can I wear glasses?
It's best not to — glare and frames covering the eyes are a common rejection reason.
