How to use the Image Converter
- Choose one or more images, or drag them onto the box.
- Pick your settings — the output format and quality.
- Check the new size next to each file.
- Download each image, or all of them as a ZIP.
What does this tool do?
Choose JPG for photos and maximum compatibility, PNG for graphics, screenshots and transparency, and WebP for smaller files on websites. When converting transparent images to JPG, transparent areas are filled with a color you choose.
Why use it?
- Convert for websites, apps and documents.
- Batch convert many files at once.
- Choose the background for transparent images.
Format cheat sheet
JPG: photos, smallest for photos, no transparency. PNG: sharp graphics, transparency, larger. WebP: photos and graphics, transparency, usually 25–35% smaller than JPG.
Privacy
Your files are processed entirely in your browser using built-in web technologies. They are not uploaded to our servers, and closing the page clears them from memory. There's no account to create and nothing to install.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device, which is why it works even on a slow connection.
Can I convert to AVIF?
If your browser can encode AVIF (recent Chrome and Edge can), AVIF appears in the list. Otherwise it's hidden.
