How to use the HEIC to JPG
- Choose your .heic or .heif photos.
- Pick JPG (smaller) or PNG (lossless).
- Wait a few seconds per photo while it converts.
- Download the files or a ZIP of all of them.
What does this tool do?
iPhones save photos as HEIC to save space, but many Windows PCs, Android phones and websites can't open them. This tool decodes HEIC in your browser and saves a standard JPG or PNG.
Decoding HEIC is demanding, so expect a few seconds per photo — and nothing is ever uploaded.
Why use it?
- Open iPhone photos on Windows and Android.
- Upload to sites that reject HEIC.
- No apps or accounts needed.
Stop future HEIC photos
On iPhone: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. New photos will be saved as JPG.
Accuracy and limits
- Live Photos and image sequences contain several frames; the first image is converted.
Privacy
Your files are processed entirely in your browser using built-in web technologies. They are not uploaded to our servers, and closing the page clears them from memory. There's no account to create and nothing to install.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device, which is why it works even on a slow connection.
Why does it take a few seconds?
Browsers can't decode HEIC natively, so a decoder runs in the page. It's slower than built-in formats but keeps your photos private.
