How to use the Sentiment Analyzer
- Paste the text.
- See the overall tone and score.
- Scan the sentence-by-sentence breakdown.
What does this tool do?
The analyzer uses a sentiment dictionary that scores common words from −3 (very negative) to +3 (very positive). It handles negation (“not good” counts as negative) and intensifiers (“very good” counts more), then normalises the score by length.
Why use it?
- Get a quick read on batches of feedback.
- Find the negative sentences in a long review.
- Check the tone of your own email before sending.
Example
“The delivery was fast and the staff were really friendly, but the product arrived broken.” — positive words (fast, friendly) and a negative one (broken) give a mildly positive overall score, with the last clause flagged negative.
Accuracy and limits
- Dictionary methods can't detect sarcasm or context (“great, another delay”). Treat results as a rough signal.
