Reaction Test FAQ
What is a normal reaction time?
Most people average around 250 ms for a visual stimulus. Under 200 ms is very fast; over 300 ms is common on phones.
Why is my time slower on a phone?
Touch screens and display refresh add delay. Compare scores on the same device.
Is the delay really random?
Yes, each wait is between about 1.5 and 5 seconds, drawn at random, so the timing cannot be predicted.
