Free Reading Games for Kids
Three games that follow the path most children take into reading: letter sounds, then words, then stories.
Learning to read happens in layers. First children learn that letters stand for sounds, then they learn to blend those sounds into words, and then they need to understand what the words are saying. These three games follow that order: Letter Sound Adventure for letters and first sounds, Word Builder for blending and spelling simple words, and Story Sequence Adventure for listening to and understanding short stories.
Every game reads its prompts aloud, so children who can't read yet can still play on their own, and each one has a parents' guide with offline activities that practise the same skill away from the screen.
All games, characters and artwork in M2Toolkit Kids Games are original and made by the M2Toolkit team. We are not affiliated with Math Playground, PBS KIDS or any other games brand. The games need no account and never ask children for personal information; best scores are saved only in your browser.
